Where are my Files?

One day you open you USB drive where you just saved you files and found none of your files are there. What the hell happened? Where are my files?

Don't worry! This usually happens when you insert you USB drive in an infected computer. The virus hides the original file(s)and shows itself similar to your genuine file(s) with shortcut icon on it.

This tricks you into clicking it and makes the malicious code run behind.

I have seen lots of tricks and tutorials on how to recover it, but found it bit difficult to follow for those who are not familiar with the command lines. So let me recommend a simple tool that will help you to recover your files.

First, download a free program called USB Show from the link given below:

But make sure that you scan it with antivirus before running it. It is a portable program; which means you need not have to install it.

Next, choose your language and click recovers the hidden files where it will ask you to select the drive. Select your infected USB drive and it will start to recover you hidden files.

It will run for few seconds (depends) and here is how it looks after it had done the job.
